Guardian and Minors Policy

Shareh teaches school students, so most learners are under 18. This policy explains what we ask for, what we hold, and what you can ask us to do.

A learner under 18 is expected to have their guardian's agreement before they register, and every learner names their guardian when they register. The learner accepts the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy for themselves. We do not ask you to accept them, and the platform has no screen on which you could.

What we do instead is write to the guardian address as soon as the account is created. That message names the learner, gives the email address the account signs in with, links the terms the account runs under, and tells you how to object. If the account should not exist, or you did not agree to it, reply to us and we close it.

The notice is sent when the account is created, and again to the new address whenever the guardian address on the account is changed. If the learner mistypes your address, the message reaches nobody until the address is corrected on their profile screen, so ask the learner to check it.

Registration asks the learner for the guardian's email address and mobile number. We use them to:

• Tell the guardian that the account exists.
• Reach the guardian about payment, access, and a serious conduct matter.
• Let the guardian exercise the learner's data rights.

We do not verify either value, so nothing that matters rests on them alone.

To other learners: a nickname, points, and a leaderboard rank. Nothing else. When too few learners are ranked in a group for a nickname to stay anonymous, the board is hidden rather than shown.

Outside the platform: no name, no email address, no phone number, no school, and no progress record.

We place no advertisement, we build no advertising profile, and we sell no learner's data.

The Privacy Policy has the full list. In summary: identity and contact details, grade year, everything the learner does in a lesson, orders and payments, and a record of the browsers the account signs in from.

We do not record a learner's screen, and we do not record the text of the buttons a learner presses.

Write to support@shareh.ai from the guardian email address on the account and ask us to:

• Tell you what we hold about the learner, and give you a copy.
• Correct something that is wrong.
• Delete the account and its data, so far as the law lets us. Where the learner has paid, the accounting rules oblige us to keep the order and the invoice; we delete the rest and tell you what we kept.
• Withdraw a consent, including the analytics, marketing, and feedback consent.
• Remove the learner from the leaderboard.
• Close the account.

We check that the request comes from the guardian on the account before we act.

Where we see a serious safety concern, we may contact the guardian on the details held on the account, and, where the law requires it, the competent authority.
